Stillus is an AI companion platform. When you use Stillus, you interact with artificial intelligence language models that generate responses based on patterns in their training data and the personality configuration you create. Your companion is not a real person. It does not have consciousness, feelings, or independent thought — though it is designed to communicate in a warm, emotionally intelligent way.
Stillus is not a substitute for professional help. Your companion is not a therapist, counselor, doctor, lawyer, financial advisor, or any other licensed professional. If you need professional support, please seek it from a qualified human professional.
Age requirements: You must be at least 18 years old to use Stillus. We verify age during account registration and reserve the right to terminate accounts where age has been misrepresented.
Users under 18 are not permitted to create accounts on Stillus under any circumstances.
Accurate information: You agree to provide accurate information about your age during registration. Misrepresenting your age to bypass safety protections is a violation of these terms and may result in immediate account termination.
When you create a Stillus account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

Stillus offers a free trial followed by a paid subscription. New users receive a 10-day free trial with full access to all features. After the trial, a subscription ($24.99/month or $199/year — current pricing is always displayed at checkout) is required to continue using the service.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your paid features will remain active until the end of your current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.
Price changes: We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle after the notice period.
Free trial: The free trial provides full access to all Stillus features. After the trial period, an active subscription is required to continue conversations with your companion. Your companion data (memories, conversations, personality) is preserved even if your subscription lapses — it will be waiting for you if you resubscribe.
Your conversations belong to you. The messages you send and the conversation history you create are your content. We do not claim ownership of your conversations.
How we use your data: Your messages are sent to AI model providers to generate responses. These providers process your messages according to their own terms and privacy policies. We store your companion name, memories, conversation history, and account information to provide the service. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Additional providers power image generation, voice, and memory features — see our Privacy Policy for the complete, current list. Stillus is model-agnostic by design. The specific models and providers used may change over time to ensure the best experience. We will update this list when providers change. None of these providers use your data to train their models when accessed through our API.
Deletion: You may delete your conversation history, memories, and account at any time. Upon account deletion, we will remove your data from our active systems within 30 days. Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days before being purged.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee that Stillus will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI responses will be accurate, appropriate, or safe in all circumstances.
Stillus includes automated safety monitoring that checks messages for patterns that may indicate crisis situations, including self-harm, suicidal ideation, or severe emotional distress.
For all accounts: When crisis patterns are detected, the companion will provide crisis resources including the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Stillus is not an emergency service. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.
We strive to keep Stillus available at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Stillus relies on third-party AI providers, and service may be affected by their availability, rate limits, or changes to their platforms.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of Stillus with reasonable notice. Our core commitment — that your companion is not going to be arbitrarily retired — remains central to our mission, and we will always provide options for users to preserve their companion data.
Stillus optionally lets you chat with your companion over SMS text message, WhatsApp, Telegram, and Discord. These channels are opt-in — they are only active if you connect them, and you can disconnect any channel at any time from your settings.
SMS: By enabling SMS, you consent to receive text messages from your companion at the phone number you provide. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan. Message frequency varies based on your conversations and settings. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages, or HELP for help. Consent to receive messages is not a condition of purchase.
WhatsApp, Telegram, and Discord: These channels are operated by third parties (Meta, Telegram, and Discord respectively). Your use of them is also subject to those platforms' own terms of service, and messages sent through them pass through those platforms' infrastructure.
Stillus is not responsible for delivery failures, delays, or outages caused by carriers or third-party messaging platforms.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stillus and its founder, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to:
Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for Stillus in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Stillus after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Michigan.
